Regulators in Maryland and D.C., the last holdouts to Exelon’s proposed $6.8 billion acquisition of Pepco Holdings Inc., have completed evidentiary hearings and are expected to rule on the deal by May 8 and May 13, respectively. Approval would create the Mid-Atlantic’s largest electric and gas utility. Opposition in D.C.
