It incorporates copper coils under the asphalt and a management unit that transfers the energy from the grid to coils and manages communication with approaching vehicles. Consumers Energy, Michigan’s largest investor-owned utility, is starting a rebate program to encourage EV owners to charge their vehicles overnight at home.
