Vincent Gabrielle has been a science reporter since 2017. At the Knoxville News Sentinel, He was instrumental in leading award-winning coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and its fallout. When not covering the pandemic, he covered energy and climate, including a major investigation into the cryptocurrency industry in rural Appalachia. More recently, Vincent was a science, health, tech and energy reporter for Hearst Media Connecticut. Before he became a reporter, Vincent used to be paid to hike as a utility forester in California.
