Ameren reported last week that earnings were flat in the second quarter, largely on milder temperatures that reduced demand for electricity. The St. Louis-based company earned $150 million ($0.61/share) compared with $149 million ($0.61/share) in the same period last year. Operating revenues were $1.40 billion versus $1.42 billion last year.
