By William Opalka ALBANY, N.Y. — The New York Public Service Commission on Thursday approved Entergy’s sale of the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear plant to Exelon, a transaction needed to prevent the plant’s imminent closure (16-E-0472). A year ago, Entergy announced it would close the money-losing plant in early 2017.
