Battelle Institute is attempting to coordinate a tristate regional application to win apply for a $2 billion grant to create a "hydrogen hub" in northern Appalachia focused on producing hydrogen from the region's abundant natural gas for industrial use in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
