The U.S. grid added a record 5,551 MW of utility-scale solar, wind and storage in the third quarter of 2023, according to a new report released Wednesday from the American Clean Power Association.
The two projects are the first of four hubs to get a slice of the $3.5 billion the Infrastructure bill provided to develop the technology at commercial scale.
The Texas Supreme Court on Friday narrowly affirmed ERCOT’s sovereign immunity, granting it protection against fraud claims and allegations of overpricing, and asserted the Public Utility Commission’s jurisdiction over the grid operator in a pair of rulings.
