MISO confirmed it likely will try again with FERC in the third quarter to apply an annual megawatt cap to its interconnection queue.

MISO appears set on restricting the interconnection requests it will accept and will present a straw proposal at the July 19 Planning Advisory Committee meeting.

MISO said it hasn’t yet settled on a deadline for developers to submit generation project applications under the 2023 interconnection queue cycle.

Clean Grid Alliance asked MISO to develop a means to see late-stage projects through its generator interconnection queue when they’re delayed.

MISO staff said project withdrawals from its record-setting 150-GW interconnection queue are imminent.
