Hydrogen Storage Cavern (Mitsubishi Power) Alt FI.jpg
Advanced Clean Energy Storage I, a partnership between Mitsubishi Power Americas and Magnum Development, is building an enormous storage cavern in a salt dome in Utah for locally produced hydrogen to fuel a nearby advanced Mitsubishi combined cycle gas turbine power plant. Mitsubishi is planning to fuel the turbines with a 30% hydrogen to gas mixture initially and gradually increase the hydrogen over 20 years to 100%. Each salt storage cavern will hold 250 GWh of hydrogen. | Mitsubishi Power
