IESO Tweaks Modeling for Outage Management
IESO begins its resource adequacy evaluation by derating its installed resources and imports (left column) based on factors such as effective forced outage rates. The resulting “available” resource stack (middle column) is measured against the projected demand forecast and required reserves.
